Parliamentary Delegation on a visit to GEM

Dr. Khaled El Anany, Minister of Antiquities, was accompanied by a delegation of members of the Culture, Information and Antiquities Committee of the House of Representatives, headed by MP Osama Haikal, in an inspection tour of the Grand Egyptian Museum, on Saturday.

The tour was attended by Dr. Mostafa Waziri, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, Major General Atef Miftah, Deputy Chairman of the Armed Forces Engineering Organization and the General Supervisor of the works of the Grand Egyptian Museum and the surrounding area.

Dr. Tariq Tawfiq said that the restoration plant in the museum has so far restored 40 thousand pieces by Egyptian hands exclusively, and received 46 thousand since 2010 until now.
