Egyptian Italian Art Exhibition in Luxor
At the opening of the Egyptian Italian Art exhibition at Luxor’s public library (formerly known as Mubarak library) Dr. Ezzat Saad, Governor of Luxor said “Such events are considered a positive message to say that the violence in Cairo doesn’t stop us from moving forward and organize cultural events in the city of culture and tourism in Luxor.” Dr. Saad praised the efforts of Mr. Ladislav Sakala, The Honorary Italian Consul, to organize and put together such an exhibition especially that the Egyptian and Italian cultures share mutual activities and historical roots.
The exhibition titled “Turin in Luxor” is hosting a different art school presenting the Italian culture as well as reflecting the Upper Egyptian environment in general.
The exhibition will be on till 16th March 2013. It is open for public free of charge but of course you may have to get a ticket to the library for 2 L.E to enter the building. The exhibition is at the Cultural Heritage Centre (Culturama) downstairs.
