Under maximum security, 2000 artifacts arrived at GEM from the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir, Tell Yahodiya storage and Giza area storerooms to be displayed at the Grand Egyptian Museum for the grand opening in 2021.
Those artifacts brings the total number of objects at GEM to 54.000 artifacts.
Dr. AlTayeeb Abbas said that those objects include 54 artifacts belong to King Tutankhamen.
Dr. Eissa Zidan said that the transfers are going to schedule for the grand opening in 2021. Dr. Zidan also added that another 47 piece of the second solar boat of Khufu moved to GEM to make a total of 1053 piece so far.
