On Monday 18th of April (World Heritage Day), Dr. Khalid El-Enany (Egyptian Minister of Tourism and Antiquities) officially opened the Textile gallery at the National Museum of the Egyptian Civilisation (NMEC) in a ceremony attended by dozens of foreign ambassadors to Egypt and 10 Egyptian ministers.The gallery exhibit a wide range of Egyptian textile dated back to Ancient Egypt throughout Egyptian history to modern day.
