Jar from the tomb of Sennedjem (TT1, Deir El Medina)

This wine jar is decorated with floral garlands like those used in representations of funerary feasts. Numerous jars of this sort were found in Sennedjem’s tomb. Excavated by Maspero in the 1885-1886 season

New Kingdom. 19th Dynasty. Reign of Ramses II (ca. 1279–1213 B.C.)
